SANA'A, Apr. 18 (Saba) - The Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) confirmed on Monday that the US-Saudi aggression coalition continued to detain fuel vessels, especially the ones loaded with diesel, despite being cleared by the United Nations.

In a statement to Yemen News Agency (SABA), YPC's spokesman Essam al-Mutawakel stated that the aim of the aggression's detention of the vessels loaded with diesel, which is the trigger of the service sectors such as health, water, electricity and transportation, is to keep the costs very high for the citizens, especially during Ramadan month.

The United Nations has not put an end to such piracy either before or during the announced armistice, he said.

Al-Mutawakel pointed out that two diesel-loaded vessels are continued to be detained in the aggression coalition's detention zone off the coast of Jizan with a total load of 59,976 tons for different periods up to 12 days for the first vessel.
