SANA'A, Apr. 16 (Saba) - President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat met here on Saturday with Minister of Defense, Major General Muhammad Nasser al-Atifi.
During the meeting, aspects related to the level of commitment to the humanitarian and military truce proclaimed by the United Nations by the other side were discussed and efforts were made by the relevant authorities in Sana 'a on this side.
President Al-Mashat stressed the desire to make the truce a success, open the Sana 'a airport and the ports of Hodeida and lift the blockade to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
President Al-Mashat reaffirmed cooperation and support for any sincere efforts that seek to achieve the honorable peace of the Yemeni people and preserve Yemen's security, stability, and unity.
The Minister of Defense reaffirmed the commitment of the army and people's committees to the armistice despite violations committed by the aggression forces and their repeated targeting of certain sites.
