SANA'A, MAR. 30 (Saba) - The Public Electricity Corporation (PEC) confirmed that it had recently been forced to follow the mechanism of reducing the number of daily operating hours and applying the planned programmed Fire as a result of the Mazut crisis to ensure the continuity of the operation and generation of electric power for as long as possible.
In an explanatory statement to its participants, Saba received a copy on Tuesday that the corporation resorted to this mechanism due to the continued detention of the vertical Mazut vessel at sea by the aggression for more than three consecutive months, which affected the continuity of continuous operation.
"As a result of these practices, the Corporation has been compelled to reduce the number of daily operating hours and implement programmed extinguishments according to the quantities available and to ensure continuity of operation for as long as possible," the statement said.
The statement condemned the United States aggression coalition's continued unjust blockade and continued piracy on fuel vessels and the denial of access to the port of Hodeida.
The statement also condemned the states of aggression, the international community, international bodies and organizations, their offices' representatives in Yemen legal, humanitarian and moral responsibility.
