Judicial Council condemns aggression coalition’s crime in Sa’ada prison
[23/ January/2022]
SANA’A, Jan. 23 (Saba) – The Supreme Judicial Council has strongly condemned the horrific crime committed by the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition fighter jets by bombing the provisional prison in Sa’ada province, which left hundreds of dead and wounded. The council affirmed, in a statement, that the bombing of prison facility deliberately, despite that the international organizations, including the International Committee of the Red Cross, have already visited the prison, is a violation of the rules and provisions of the international humanitarian law that criminalize the attacks on reformatories and rehabilitation prisons. The statement considered the silence of the United Nations on this escalation and genocide crimes of the aggression coalition countries “a participation in the killing of Yemenis.” The Council called on all local and international organizations and the free peoples of the world to condemn this massacre and other crimes against civilians and civil facilities in all provinces, which claimed lives of hundreds of citizens.
