SANA'A, Jan. 22 (Saba) – The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology said on Saturday that the technical teams could not enter the building of the Telecommunications building in Hodeida city, which was targeted by Saudi-Emirati-led aggression coalition warplanes Thursday.
A source at the ministry called on the United Nations to visit the telecommunications building to see the size of the destruction in this vital and important facility, which is the international internet gateway.
The source held the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression countries responsible for all losses and damage suffered by the Yemeni people as a result of the halt of the internet services due to the destruction of the international internet gateway in Hodeida.
He asked the United Nations to secure the site from targeting to allow the engineers to enter the site to assess the damage and start repairing the internet gateway, and to provide the required spare parts of the gateway, in order to re-operate the internet service in Yemen.
