Judicial official: convicts of President al-Sammad's assassination to be executed

SANA'A, Sep. 17 (Saba) - The members of the "aggression coalition cell" will be executed on Saturday, a judicial official said Friday. 

The court found the convicts guilty of the assassination of Martyr President Saleh al-Sammad and his companions, who were assassinated in Hodeida city on April 19, 2018.

The official added the death sentence will be implemented after the court has completed all legal procedures.

On the 5th April 2021, the criminal court in Hodeida province had decided to uphold the preliminary ruling issued on August 24, 2020, convicting 16 defendants of  assassination of President al-Sammad, and punished them with the death penalty.
