SANA'A, July 26 (Saba) - The Ministry of Interior in the National Salvation Government on Monday condemned the systematic destruction of the marine environment in Yemeni territorial waters by the Saudi-led aggression coalition and its mercenaries.
In a statement, the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received a copy of it, the Ministry of Interior denounced the recent pollution of the coasts of Aden province and the destruction of marine life in a large part of the territorial waters as a result of the sinking of a dilapidated oil ship was docking in the port of Aden a long time ago, carrying quantities of oil and chemicals.
The ministry pointed out that the report of the Coast Guard Authority confirms the knowledge of the aggression coalition and its mercenaries that the ship is dilapidated and poses a real danger to the marine environment and navigational movement, and it was prevented from dockimg in all ports.
“However, the aggression countries and mercenaries allowed the ship to reach the port of Aden and docked for a long time ended with its drowning, leakage of its cargo and polluting the coasts of the province,” the statement explained.
The ministry considered the sinking of the ship a premeditated crime, holding the aggression coalition countries and mercenaries fully responsible for the damage caused by the leakage of the ship's cargo.
