Military escalation in Bayda as result of US diplomacy failure: Al-Sama'ei
[10/ July/2021]

SANA'A, July. 10 (Saba) - Member of the Supreme Political Council (SPC) said on Friday the military escalation in Bayda province was a natural consequence of the failure of the administration's diplomacy announced by Joe Badin on Yemen.

"America's loss in politics and the victory of Sana'a's diplomacy seeking honorable peace have made America feel humiliated to bring al-Qaeda hordes from different countries and ignite the Bayda front, and these are the reasons behind the U.S. escalation in Bayda," al- Sama'ei said in a statement to Saba.

He noted that the United States of America, which appointed envoy to Yemen, sought by all means to persuade Sana'a to accept its proposals aimed at saving its tools in Marib and diverting attention from it in order to preserve goals not related to peace as they claim but to ensure fixing of an agenda that is only in its interest.

He stressed that America will not get what it wanted and its recent statement that it narrowed the progress of the army and popular committees in Marib and expressed this in Bayda, comes after seeing losses and defeats.

Al-Sama'ei called on the Yemeni people to arm themselves with awareness in the face of the colonial paper that America seeks to impose by handing over the necks, land, and wealth of the Yemeni people to terrorist groups that promote them with weapons and training.

"We are grateful to the army, the popular committees and tribesmen who line the finest epics on various fronts and impose by force of arms, faith, and justice the conditions of the Yemeni people in any future dialogue to bring peace," he said.
