SANA'A, Mar. 12 (Saba) - Capital Sana'a organized on Thursday a large financial and in-kind convoy worth about 700 million riyals, in support of the fighters in the Marib front, coinciding with the anniversary of Sayyed Hussain al-Houthy and the National Resilience Day.
During the convoy, the Mayor of the capital Sanaa Hammoud Obbad indicated that this convoy is an expression of loyalty to the sacrifices of the fighters on the various fronts who defend the homeland.
He pointed out that the total cash caravan amounted to half a billion riyals, while the total value of in-kind materials amounted to about 200 million riyals, explaining that the total number of central convoys that were run from the Capital Municipality in the past few years amounted to about 300 million riyals in cash.
Obbad confirmed that this major convoy is an extension of the caravans of giving, and will not be the last, and financial and in-kind convoys will follow to enhance the steadfastness of the fighters to cleanse Marib of invaders and mercenaries.
Abdul Wahab Sharaf al-Din, chairman of the executive committee for the preparation of convoys at the secretariat, said the grand convoy was equipped within 18 days centrally through a number of executive offices and at the level of directorates, which included branches of executive offices and the community side.
