[03/ March/2021]

MARIB, Mar. 03 (Saba) - The branch of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation (SCMCHA) in Marib province condemned the aggression's attacks on the displaced camps in Thana Valley in Serwah district.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Council's branch denounced the attackes that have caused serious damages to the displayed property and killed dozens of their livestock.

The attacks aimed to intimidate the displaced persons and force them to flee back to their houses in the areas controlled by the aggression's mercenaries in an attempt to use them as human shields.

More than 800 families live in the camps, whose locations were informed to the aggression’s countries five years ago when established, according to the statement.

It called on the United Nations and international organizations to play their rule and to pressure the aggression's countries to stop attacking displaced camps, villages and populated areas.

Marib province was hit by more than 40,000 air strikes during the years of aggression, which displaced thousands of families and destroyed houses, farms, infrastructure and service facilities.
