[02/ March/2021]

HAJJAH, Mar. 02 (Saba) - The branch director of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA) in Hajjah province discussed with the head of Yemen Mission at the Action Against Hunger (ACF) aspects of cooperation and partnership in the humanitarian field.

In the meeting, Allan Fadhayel and the head of Yemen mission at ACF touched on the organization's interventions and its work plan during the current year.

Fadhayel said the people of the province are suffering due to the exacerbation of the humanitarian situation for the detention of oil ships amid a complete international silence.

He expressed his hope the ACF would have a positive role in the donors' conference, highlighting the suffering of the people of Yemen and motivating donors to increase grants and cover the needs of the affected.

The branch director stressed the need to appoint a program director in the province, referring to the efforts made by the ACF's team during the previous period despite the scarcity of resources.

Fadhayel emphasized the readiness of the SCMCHA's branch and the concerned authorities to provide possible facilities for the ACF mission in Yemen to implement its interventions in the province.

The head of Yemen mission at ACF affirmed the keenness to enhance cooperation and partnership in humanitarian work with the SCMCHA.

He pointed out the main objective of the visit is to discuss the existing need and work to cover it by increasing interventions in the affected areas in accordance with the need plan presented by the SCMCHA branch.
