SANA'A, Jan. 25 (Saba) - President of the Supreme Political Council (SPC) Mahdi al-Mashat met on Sunday with Minister of Industry and Trade Abdulwahab al-Durrah.
In the meeting, al-Mashat and al-Durrah discussed the achievements of the Ministry during 2020 and its 2021 plan.
The President stressed the need for the Ministry to play its role in achieving a form of self-sufficiency by supporting and encouraging local industries and providing them with an appropriate environment, especially goods and products whose raw materials are available in Yemen.
He stressed the need for coordination with the High Fish Agriculture Commission to support the cultivation and marketing of cotton and its use in the garment industry and the reduction of external imports.
The President directed the Ministry of Industry and Trade to continue monitoring markets, price controls, and price manipulators.
