Speaker of Parliament condemns Baghdad's terrorist bombing

SANA'A, Jan. 23 (Saba) – The Parliament's Speaker Yahya Ali Al-Ra'i, on Saturday strongly condemned Thursday's terrorist bombing that targeted a popular market in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, which left dozens of dead and wounded.

In a cable of condolences he sent to the Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi, al-Ra'i referred that the terrorist bombing coincided with the Iraqi people's rejection of the US military presence, which reveals the American plan to split the ranks of Iraq.

He called on the heads of parliaments, states and peoples to condemn violence and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and to work to promote the values of coexistence and peace, and to put an end to the aggressive policies pursued by the American administration towards free peoples.

The Parliament speaker expressed his condolences to the Iraqi parliament, government and people and the families of the martyrs, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded.

He indicated that the United States of America should revise its policies in the region and work to stop its plans aimed at destabilizing and spreading chaos in the world before it become a scourge on it.

In his cable, Al-Ra'i voiced the solidarity of the Yemeni Parliament, the political leadership and the people with the brotherly Iraqi people, and their rejection of any attempts to destabilize the security and stability of Iraq and any Arab country opposing the American policy.
