SANA'A, Jan. 20 (Saba) - The Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA) and the UN Refugee Agency discussed here on Tuesday aspects of mutual cooperation.
During his meeting UNHCR Resident Representative John Nicholas, SCMCHA Secretary-General Abdul Mohsen Tawoos affirmed the importance of establishing operational mechanisms to ensure the effective partnership that will promote humanitarian work, serve beneficiaries, and provide services to the affected people.
He also stressed the need to adhere to the rules of humanitarian action and to work in accordance with obvious standards and the need for continuous coordination with the SCMCHA to guarantee the distribution of the humanitarian services according to the actual need.
On his part, Nicholas confirmed the UNHCR's commitment to cooperate with the SCMCHA, hailing the SCMCHA's efforts to provide all facilitations to the humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen.
