SANA'A, Dec. 17 (Saba) - President of the Supreme Political Council (SPC) Mahdi al-Mashat has met with Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Finance Minister Rasheed Abu Luhum.
In the meeting held on Wednesday, al-Mashat and Abu Luhum reviewed the performance of the Finance Ministry in 2020 and its plan for the next year, 2021.
They also touched on the impact of the corona pandemic and the blockade which have reduced the government's revenues and impeded the government attempt to pay half of the salary, as the SPC President ordered on January 2020.
The President considered the United Nations complicit with the states of aggression in legitimizing the blockade, blamed its negative attitudes for not paying the half of the salary, especially after two years of the Sweden ceasefire agreement in Hodeida province, which was a great chance to end the employees' suffering.
