Detained fishermen released
[15/ December/2020]

HODEIDA, Dec. 14 (Saba) - Fifty-Three fishermen who were detained in Saudi, UAE and Eritrean prisons for about 3 months have arrived at the fishing port of Hodeida, Head of the General Authority for Fisheries in the Red Sea said.

Engineer Hashem al-Dan'aei, said that fishermen were arrested three months ago in the Yemeni territorial waters, 30 miles off Kebret Island, and taken to prisons in Eritrea, UAE and Saudi Arabia.

He pointed out that the released fishermen are from Hajjah and Hodeida provinces.

Al-Dan'aei condemned the crimes committed by the Saudi-UAE aggression against the fishermen in the Yemeni coasts, confirming that the aggression's insistence on preventing the fishermen from earning their own living comes as part of its plans to humiliate the Yemeni people.

He called on the international organizations to bear their legal and moral responsibility to stop the aggression crimes against the Yemeni people, especially the fishermen in all the Yemeni coasts.
