Hodeida, ICRC discuss supporting health facilities

HODEIDA, Nov. 25 (Saba) - Hodeida province acting governor Mohammed Qahim has discussed with head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation in Yemen Katharina Ritz aspects of health cooperation.

 

In a meeting held on Tuesday, Qahim and Ms. Ritz reviewed the necessary health aid that the ICRC could offer for the province to carry on providing medical services for Hodeida's people, particularly to al-Thawra Hospital and the West Coast medical center.

 

Qahim stressed the importance of international organizations' intervention in supporting efforts of the health sector to provide its humanitarian services, stating the province leadership's willingness to facilitate the ICRC's service, humanitarian and relief activities in order to alleviate the citizens' suffering as a result of the aggression and siege.

 

In turn, Ritz expressed appreciation of the province leadership's cooperation that assisted the ICRC to implement its activities in the province.
