Yemeni childhood slaughtered on World Childhood Day
[24/ November/2020]

SANA'A, Nov. 24 (Saba) - The world celebrates the World Children's Day on 20th November, all the children of the world are well, happy and have a bright future, what about the children of Yemen?

On this day, what about the children of Yemen under six years, who are suffering from the US-backed aggression and the unjust blockade imposed on the country?

The aggression targeted directly the Yemeni children, in their houses, schools, trips, parks and roads.

The number of the Yemeni children victims of the US-backed aggression on Yemen have reached more than 7,000 children; killed or wounded ; including 3,000 children with amputated limbs.

Hundreds of children died due to lack of medicine, and dozens of cases showed cancerous diseases in areas targeted by the aggression's high toxic bombs and missiles, which are internationally prohibited, including cluster bombs.

Hundreds of children in Yemen are suffering from acute malnutrition that resulted in the death of them. Hundreds of children have congenital deformities due to the toxicity of the aggression's bombs.

Hundreds of children have lost their families and have become the only survivors from the bombing of the aggression air forces.

Tens of thousands of Yemeni children have been deprived of education as a result of the bombing and destruction of their schools as well. Millions of children in Yemen have been deprived of the right to an adequate standard of living due to the unjust blockade. Millions of children have been traumatized by the aggression.

Tens of thousands of Yemeni children have been displaced from their homes, and now are living in different houses and camps, or living in the open, and do not find enough to live with.

The deprivation of the employees from their salaries has an impact on childhood in Yemen. Losing the fathers' jobs, the imposed sea and air blockade, and the lack of job opportunities have affected badly the lives of Yemeni children.

The aggression left social and economic effects on the children of Yemen, even at the level of family relationships that have been affected badly by the economic conditions, which in return have cast a shadow over children, their lives and futures.

The World Childhood Day is stained with the blood of the children of Yemen, who are slaughtered every day by the aggression bombing, who deprived of the right to life, education, health and even dream.

It is a hypocritical world exploit the blood of the children of Yemen.
