Sana'a, Kerala universities hold virtual conference on translation

SANA'A, Nov. 24 (Saba) – Sana'a University in partnership with the Universities of Kerala and Languages ​​and Literature in Calcutta in India started on Monday the activities of the first virtual international scientific conference on translation.

The-three day-conference, which held through Zoom Video Communications entitled" Theory and Methods of Translation", will discuss 25 working papers on evaluating translation, language words and their relationship to translation, interpretation, and strategies, legal methods for translations.

The conference will also discuss the challenges facing Arabic translation into other languages, in addition to the role of the press and the media in the translation field.

International experts in the translation field from India, Germany, Morocco, Oman, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia will take part in the conference.

The conference focuses on discussing theories and methods of translation and how to use technology to transfer knowledge and culture between peoples, said the chairman of the coordination committee, also head of the translation department at Sana'a University.
