Sana'a Governor receives released prisoners

SANA'A, Oct. 19 (Saba) - Governor of Sana'a province, Abdul Basit Al-Hadi, received on Monday 86 prisoners of the army and the popular committees, who were recently released as part of the prisoner exchange deal.

At the meeting, Al-Hadi praised the efforts of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs in making the exchange of prisoners a success despite the obstacles that the other party has placed in dealing with this file.

The governor also hailed the prisoners ’sacrifices and their patience with the suffering and torture in the Saudi-led coalition's prisons, considering their sacrifices in facing the aggression forces and its tools as a badge of honor and pride for all Yemenis.

Secretary general and members of Sana'a province's local council congratulated the freed prisoners for their return to the homeland, pointing out that the exchange of prisoners showed the flexibility of the Supreme Political Council and its keenness on just peace, stopping the aggression and lifting the siege.

For their part, the freed prisoners affirmed that they would proceed with the path of freedom, pride and dignity, indicating that their stay in the aggression prisons only increased their faith, pride and toughness.
