[23/ September/2020]

JAWF, Sep. 23 (Saba) - The Public Health and Population Office in Jawf province has issued a distress call after most of the services of Hazm General Hospital and the only oxygen station in the province were stopped due to the lack of fuel.

In a statement received by Saba, the Health Office stated that the aggression’s continuation of preventing the entry of oil derivative ships caused the oxygen station stopped, and the largest hospital in the province threatened to stop providing its services, as well as stopping many health facilities in the districts, which recalls a catastrophe threatening the lives of thousands of patients.

The statement of the Health Office held the countries of the aggression coalition fully responsible for the repercussions of the continued ban on the entry of oil derivative ships.

It also held the United Nations and international organizations responsible for their silence about the suffering of the Yemeni people due to tightening the siege and seizing fuel ships, as well as the suspension of the humanitarian aid provided to the health sector.

The office called on the countries of the free world and humanitarian organizations to put pressure on the aggression coalition to lift the siege and stop the aggression.

It is noteworthy that al-Hazm Hospital provides its services to thousands of citizens and displaced people and has the only oxygen station in the province that supplies oxygen to the rest of the health facilities in the province.
