Oil company warns against humanitarian catastrophe due to depletion of its fuel stocks

SANAA, June 21 (Saba) – Yemen's Oil Company warned on Sunday against an imminent humanitarian catastrophe due to seizing oil tankers by the Saudi-led coalition, which has led to depletion of its fuel stocks during the next hours.

Ammar Al-Adrai, the executive director of the company said in a news statement that the company tried during the past days to sell and distribute the available quantities using the emergency plan to cover citizens' needs from oil derivatives and the important sectors.

Al-Adrai called on the United Nations hoping that the world's countries to move to release oil derivative ships being detain by the Saudi-led aggression coalition countries.

The statement affirmed that about five hundred hospitals and health centers, a thousand drinking water projects, and 800 power stations would go out services due to the lack of oil derivatives.

The statement confirmed also the aggression countries have continued to seize 15 tankers loaded with gas, oil And food under the United Nations' cover 90 days ago.

It held the United Nations and the aggression coalition the full responsible for the imminent humanitarian catastrophe as a result of the suspension of all vital sectors directly related to the lives and livelihoods of citizens, especially the health, hygiene, water, electricity and transport sectors.
