HAJJAH, May 31 (Saba) - The Technical Committee to confront Corona in Hajjah province, in its meeting chaired by the Secretary General of the Local Council Ismail al-Muhem, discussed a mechanism to enhance preventative measures against the corona virus disease.
The meeting held on Saturday, in the presence of the province governor Mohammed al-Qaisi, reviewed the progress work, the commissioned committees and the concerned authorities on implementing the precautionary steps to confront the Corona virus during the month of Ramadan.
The meeting also addressed ways of facing difficulties and activating the societal role for the success of awareness campaigns and finding broad initiatives to address the epidemic.
Al- Muhem stressed the importance of raising health awareness by applying preventive measures in the society in the cooperation of the relevant authorities in this aspect.
He added educational messages would also contribute to stimulating community initiatives to cooperate in assigning preventive measures and implementing campaigns of hygiene, spraying, sterilization and production of masks.
He stressed the activation of spraying and sterilization campaigns in all neighborhoods, streets, markets, mosques, public centers and private facilities.
The Secretary General of the Local Council also underlined the necessity of activating the supervisory and legal side for those who violate the procedures and who are not obligated to apply health preventive measures to protect society from the spread of the pandemic.
He emphasized the concerned offices to play their role and enhance their presence in the field to monitor and take the necessary measures so as to uproot the pandemic.
The Secretary General of the Local Council Ismail al-Muhem urged the need to adhere the standards and guidelines of the Ministry of Health guidelines in implementing health instructions to confront the epidemic and prevent its spread in the province.
