SANAA, April. 16 (Saba) - The army and popular committees on Thursday repelled a very large-scale advance of the forces of aggression in Khab wa al-Shaaf district of al-Jawf province.
Armed forces spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Sarie confirmed to Saba that the army repelled a very large-scale infiltration and from several routes towards their positions in Khab wa Al-Shaaf district under heavy air cover of warplanes, Sarie confirmed.
He explained that the infiltration continued from morning until the afternoon, and was broken and the enemy suffered heavy losses in lives and equipment, pointing out that a number of armored vehicles were destroyed and dozens of killing and injuring in the ranks of the enemy and no progress was made.
Brig. Gen. Sarie said the aggression warplane carried out 20 air strikes, including 17 on Sirwah district in Marib province, and three raids on the al-Boqe'e area off Najran.
He reported that the total number of infiltrations and air strikes of the aggression in the past 24 hours amounted to four and 46 air strikes.
