Parliament Speaker discusses situation in Yemen with French parliament member

SANAA, Feb. 27 (Saba) – The Parliament speaker Yahya al-Ra'i, discussed on Thursday via the means of remote communication "Skype" with French MP Sebastien Nadot, the situation in Yemen as the countries of the coalition of aggression led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates continue in the war on Yemen.

They also discussed a number of issues, most notably the suffering of the Yemeni people, particularly with regard to humanitarian conditions, health and the environment.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives praised his name, the members of the Presidency and members of the Council, for the role of The French Mp Sebastien Nadot and his advocacy for the oppression of the Yemeni people.

He noted Sebastian's efforts to help Keith Vaz to hold the Paris Peace Conference in Yemen through a live session with the Yemeni parliament on November 8, 2018.

He praised the contribution of the French MP, along with other parliamentarians to the National Assembly, to hold a session to question the French Foreign Minister about the UAE's use of the headquarters of the French company Total as prisons to imprison and torture Yemenis and turn them into other Guantanamo.

During the call, they also touched on the issue of the Safer ship, which carries more than 1.4 million barrels of oil derivatives, which portends an environmental disaster at sea, which requires swift and urgent action to prevent such a disaster.

Shabitan Nadot stressed the importance of moving to find appropriate solutions on the dangers of the Safer ship, but these solutions will serve the Yemeni people.
