Justice Minister meets with UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Yemen

SANAA, Feb. 18 (Saba) - Justice Minister Judge Dr. Mohamed Mohamed Al-Dailami on Tuesday discussed with The United Nations Development Program's Deputy Resident Representative in Yemen, Nahed Hussein, the cooperation between the ministry and the program, to build the institutions of the justice services of prosecutors, courts and police departments.

The meeting discussed the possibility of supporting the programme to restore the justice institutions targeted by the aggression and provide them with the necessary equipment in a number of provinces and build the capacity of human resources in them.

The meeting reviewed the difficulties facing the implementation of the projects agreed in advance between the ministry and the program and ways to address them and the rate of completion and set the priorities of projects that can be implemented within the framework of the project to support the justice system implemented by the program.

In the meeting, the Minister of Justice stressed the importance of activating the joint cooperation between the ministry and the program to contribute to the rehabilitation, construction and restoration of the infrastructure of the justice agencies targeted by the aggression.

For her part, the Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Yemen, she stressed the keenness to provide all support for the reconstruction and restoration of the damaged justice institutions and equipping them with the necessary equipment and building the capacity of the staff in accordance with the capabilities available to the programme.
