SANAA, Feb. 16 (Saba) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hisham Sharaf, met on Sunday with Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF ) Saad Houry, to discuss enhancing the humanitarian action in Yemen.
At the meeting, the officials touched on the UNICEF's activities in Yemen in light of the humanitarian challenges faced by citizens as a result of the economic blockade continued by the Saudi-led aggression coalition on Yemen.
Sharaf stressed on the importance of enhancing cooperation and providing facilities by the concerned national authorities with UNICEF to achieve an effective partnership and contribute to alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.
Meanwhile, Houry affirmed UNICEF's keenness to exert efforts and work hard to contribute to alleviating the suffering of the Yemenis in coordination with the national authorities.
