SANAA, Jan. 23 (Saba) - Minister of Education Yahya Badr al-Din al-Houthi on Thursday met in Sanaa with the European Union and Dutch ambassadors to Yemen, Hans Grundberg and Irma Van Doorn.
The meeting discussed ways to support education in Yemen.
In the meeting, the Education Minister reviewed the difficulties facing the educational process, the most prominent of which was the interruption of salaries of teachers and the lack of textbooks and school buildings.
Al-Houthi indicated to the repercussions of the aggression and the blockade on the educational process in Yemen for nearly five years, which has affected the educational and teaching staff and students.
The two ambassadors emphasized the necessity of preserving the educational process and distancing it from all the existing conflict, confirming their keenness on providing support for the educational process in Yemen.
