YPC: US-Saudi Aggression Continues to Detain Vessels

SANAA, Dec. 29 (Saba) -Yemen Petroleum Company (YPC) announced that the US-Saudi aggression continues to detain tankers and prevent them from reaching the port of Hodeidah.

The company confirmed in a statement that tthe troops of the US-Saudi aggression alliance was striving with the policy of seizing oil ships to tighten siege on citizens and increase their suffering.

The general manager of the Yemeni Petroleum Company in Hodeidah confirmed that the aggression forces continued to detain 10 oil and food vessels.

The detained ones have permits to enter the port of Hodeidah, stressing that the aggression is striving with the policy of seizing oil ships to tighten the noose on citizens and increase their suffering, he pointed out.

 He indicated that the quantities on board ships trapped at sea reach over 240 thousand tons of gasoline and diesel. These vessels have been in detention since the beginning of last November, and the first vessel has been held for 51 days.

 The US-Saudi warship detained , the Lady Hind, which carries a shipment of flour. The General manager holds the aggression countries and the United Nations responsible of the continued violations of Stockholm Agreement.

Fuel is needed for transportation, shortages have caused fuel prices to spike up to 200 percent in some areas, making the transportation of life-saving aid to communities-in-need more expensive.
