SANAA, Dec. 6 (Saba) - Member of the Supreme Political Council Mohammed al-Nuaimi on Thursday stressed the importance of integrating efforts of the government and the private sector to care for cancer patients and alleviate their suffering.
In his speech at a ceremony organized by the National Cancer Control Foundation in Sanaa for inaugurating the 1/1 campaign under the title (I will start my year with good), al-Nuaimi confirmed the Political Council's support for all efforts aimed at the care of cancer patients, especially non-profit institutions and to overcome the difficulties facing them.
"The aggression coalition by blockading and closing Sanaa International Airport has sentenced thousands of people suffering from incurable diseases to death, including cancer patients, because their condition is difficult to treat at home and they are in urgent need of treatment abroad," al-Nuaimi said.
The Political Council's member stressed the importance of spreading awareness about cancer among the community, noting to the important role of media in this aspect.
He called for supporting the non-profit organizations seeking to provide free therapeutic services to cancer patients.
