Judicial Council's Head stresses necessity of completing prisoners' cases

SANAA, Nov. 24 (Saba) – Head of the Supreme Judicial Council Judge Ahmed al-Mutwakil on Saturday stressed the need to complete prisoners' cases before the courts and prosecutions and to face difficulties and problems with determination.

This came during the joint extraordinary meeting, which was attended by Attorney General Judge Nabil al-Azzani, Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority Judge Ahmed al-Aqeeda, and heads of courts and appeal and preliminary prosecutions in the capital Sanaa and the provinces of Sanaa and Jawf.

In the meeting, judge al- Mutwakil affirmed that the current stage requires everyone to do more.

He pointed out that the judicial leadership has developed some solutions and treatments for the problems and difficulties that were standing in the way of the speedy completion of prisoners' cases.

"We appreciate the efforts of the judges working under these difficult circumstances and we know that there are many obstacles and problems that impede their work," he said.

The Judicial Council's Head expressed his confident that the judges would be at the level of responsibility and would work in harmony and complementarily to accomplish these issues.
