GAZA,(Saba) - A column of Israeli tanks surged into the heart of the Jabalya refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday as
the army broadened its sweep for militants behind a deadly rocket attack on an Israeli town.
It marked the first time in the past four years of fighting that Israeli troops reached the heart of the camp, a militant stronghold with hundreds of gunmen.
Palestinian witnesses said a large number of tanks and armored bulldozers were rumbling into the center of the camp where fighting between gunmen and troops has raged overnight.
