ANKARA,(Saba) - A total of 28 people were killed and 17 others injured in two traffic accidents in central and northern Turkey, the semi-official Anatolia News Agency reported Monday.
A passenger bus collided with a lorry coming from the opposite direction in Corum-Samsun highway in northern Turkey early Monday, killing 11 people and injuring 14 others, said the report.
The wounded people had been taken to hospital for treatment and the highway was closed to traffic for three hours due to the accident.
Late on Sunday, a truck and a minibus collided with each other due to rainy weather on a highway between the central province of Kirikkale and the northern province of Samsun.
At least 17 people died and three others injured in the accident near the Delice township in Kirikkale Province, the report said.
