Berlin,(Saba) - German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer condemned the latest terrorist attacks in Riyadh which killed at least 17 people.

"We are horrified over this abhorring terror act. The German government harshly condemns this attack," Fischer was quoted as saying
Monday in a foreign ministry press release.

Expressing his country's "deep sympathy" with the families of the victims, Fischer urged the international community "to decisively counter the terrorist threat".

The three terrorist bombings, which also injured at least 122 people, happened around midnight Saturday on a residential compound,
housing mostly Arab foreigners.
