ROVINCES, May 6 (Saba) – The armed forces, supported by popular forces, over the last 24 hours inflicted on the troops of US-saudi aggression coalition heavy losses in several attacks launched on various fronts, a military official told Saba.
The official affirmed that the army killed and wounded more than 15 mercenaries, when the artillery force shelled their gatherings in Ajasher desert, off Najran.
He added that a military vehicle belonging to them was ambushed in Ajasher and their crew’s members were killed.
In Najran, the army repelled infiltration attempt of mercenaries in Shourfa area which resulted in killing and wounding tens of them, he said.
More than 46 mercenaries were killed in an ambush set up in Ajasher, he affirmed, adding that 14 others were killed by snipers units off Aleeb crossing and Majaza area, Asir province, he said, affirming that the artillery force bombarded other gatherings belonging to them off Aleeb crossing leaving huge losses in their forces.
In Asir, the army repelled an infiltration of mercenaries in Rabouaa killing and injuring tens of them and destroyed a machine gun in the same area, he said.
Five mercenaries were killed east of Doud mount, Jizan province, he added.
In Taiz, the army launched two attacks on sites of mercenaries in Wazaia junction and Abaar front, he said, adding that the attacks left huge losses in their ranks, in addition to a quantity of weapons seized by the army.
He added that the army killed a mercenary while trying to infiltrate to monitor sites of army in Kadha area.
Tens of mercenaries were killed and others injured when the army ambushed them in Aqeef front, Khab Wa Shaaf district, Jawf province, he said, adding that scores of them were killed when the army stormed their sites in Shawak Valley.
The army attacked sites of mercenaries in Salan camp, Ghail district, he said, adding that the attack was preceded by artillery force’ intensively shelling on their sites which doubled the human and material losses, which they suffered.
Four mercenaries, Sudanese nationality, were killed north of Midi desert, Hajjah province, he said, adding that the army destroyed a machine gun belonging to the mercenaries in the area.
He added that the artillery force shelled mercenaries’ gatherings east of Nar mount leaving huge losses in their forces.
