ANAA, May 5 (Saba) - Field Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, head of the Supreme Political Council, on Sunday addressed the Yemeni people on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

He also expressed congratulations to all our Arab and Islamic Nation on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the month of mercy, forgiveness, jihad, patience and the Qur'an.

He pointed out that the month of fasting is an opportunity, from which we should take benefit in strengthening our steadfastness to face the threats that threaten our nation, forehead of which the aggression by US-saudi coalition on our country for the fifth year in a row.

He said, "The holy month of Ramadan came again and we are fighting the battle of dignity and defending our homeland against the American-Saudi aggression, which seeks to occupy our land and deprive our people of their right to freedom and independence, so, based on our confidence in God and the justice of our cause, we affirm the necessity of activating all that strengthens the state of steadfastness in all military, political, social, economic and cultural fields and preserving the gains achieved with the help of Allah."

He added: "The dangers, challenges and conspiracies still surround our Muslim nation, but it has become clearer during the last period," he said, referring to the recently US steps towards the occupied Al-Quds "Jerusalem" and Syrian Golan.

"We affirm our absolute rejection of the so-called "century deal" and the confiscation of the rights of the Palestinian people and its occupied Arab territories," he said.

"We also pay tribute to the vigilance of the Palestinian people and the resistance movements that are aware of these conspiracies and have affirmed their attachment to the Palestine issue, which is the central issue of the Arab and Islamic nation as a whole," he added.

"We also commend the great awareness shown by the Yemeni people towards the Palestinian cause and their awareness on its special centrality through the unprecedented marches we have witnessed in recent months in solidarity with the Palestinian people and in rejection the the American aggressive steps towards the occupied Al-Quds, and to affirm their categorical rejection of all forms of normalization and rapprochement with the Zionist entity," he said.

"We reaffirm our commitment to the peace and stability of Yemen and reaffirm our commitment to a just peace based on partnership between all the components of the Yemeni people and on the basis of the independence of Yemen, the cessation of aggression and unjust siege and the establishment of friendly relations with our surroundings based on good neighborliness and mutual respect," he added.

"In light of the continuing brutal aggression, the unjust blockade and the obstruction of the Swedish agreement, we affirm that there is no choice but for the Yemeni people and armed forces to maintain and defend the dignity and the land," he said.

"With the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, we renew our congratulations to all members of the armed forces, security and the popular committees on the victories achieved during the past days on various fronts, and emphasize the need to continue readiness to secure Yemen of expel the invaders and their agents," he added.

"We have recently launched a national vision to build the modern Yemeni state (NVBMYS) to meet the aspirations of our Yemeni people in a state that protects their rights and dignity and protects their sovereignty. We therefore call on the government and relevant institutions in the country to cooperate seriously in implementing this vision. We also urge the government to exert more efforts to alleviating the suffering of the citizens and strengthening the steadfastness of our dear Yemeni people," he said.
