SANAA, April 26 (Saba) - The coastguard of Trinidad and Tobago has announced that 25 Venezuelans, some of whom are believed to be illegal immigrants, were missing after their boat capsized in the Caribbean.

In a statement released Thursday, the spokesman for the coast guard of Trinidad and Tobago, confirmed the rescue of nine people who survived the accident while authorities were trying to pinpoint the exact number of missing persons.

Despite registering 25 people on the boat, at least 34 people were found aboard.

The boat left Venezuela last Tuesday and capsized off the coast of Trinidad and Tobago, where search and rescue work with the help of the Coast Guard continues.
