SANAA, April 26 (Saba) - Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping for his invitation to participate in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)'s forum held in Beijing and expressed his confidence that the initiative was successful.

Putin said the initiative was timely and described it as very successful because it is gaining global character and reinforcing the principles of international and economic relations that are required today.

Putin referred to Russia-China relations, which are characterized by comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction.

He stressed that they are developing in all directions and areas at a very high rate, referring to the celebration of the two countries this year for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

In conclusion, the Russian president went to his Chinese counterpart, inviting him to visit Russia, recording an additional important political event in the bilateral relations between Moscow and Beijing.
