MOSCOW, April 25 (Saba) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed that the N. Korea President Kim Jong-un's visit to Russia will contribute to strengthening bilateral relations and resolving the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
"I am confident that your visit to Russia today will serve the development of bilateral relations and help us to better understand how to resolve the situation on the Korean Peninsula and what we can do together," Putin was cited by Sputnik quoted as saying.
This came during a meeting with Kim in the Russian city of Vladivostok on Saturday.
Kim, who began a visit to Russia on Monday at the invitation of President Putin for bilateral talks, met with a number of Russian officials and expressed his hope to discuss the issue of settlement on the Korean Peninsula with Putin.
