27 Palestinians injured in clashes with IOF in Nablus

[24/April/2019]

RAMALLAH, April 24 (Saba) - 27 Palestinians were wounded by rubber-coated bullets and tear gas during violent clashes on Wednesday morning between Palestinian youths and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Nablus, north of the West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that the clashes centered around the tomb of Yusuf "Joseph", Amman Street and Al Ghawi junction east of the city, noting that the injured were taken to Rafidia hospital in the city for treatment.

Some 1,500 settlers stormed the tomb of Yusuf at dawn under heavy guard from the Israeli army, to perform religious rituals, accompanied by Knesset members from the Likud party and the chairman of the so-called Samaria Regional Council Yossi Dagan, on the pretext of Passover.
