SANAA , Dec. 3 (Saba) – Prime Minister Abdul Aziz Ben Habtour met on Sunday in the capital Sanaa with the officials of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Union, headed by Dr. Ihsan al-Rabahy.

The meeting discussed the vital role played by the union to ensure the pharmaceutical security.

The meeting stressed on the importance of setting up a National strategy to develop the National pharmaceutical industry to be a competitor on the regional and international levels.

The meeting indicated the topic of the Yemeni Bank for Medicaments established thanks to a responsible private initiative and the role to be played by the union in supporting the charitable work to meet the needs of the mostly needy categories.

The PM affirmed the role played by the government to support this sector and to prepare a national strategy to create the environment encouraging the national pharmaceutical industry.

He urged to support the bank and its humanitarian activities from which the society takes benefit , especially in the current situation created by the aggression coalition war waged in country.
