AMARN, Dec. 2 (Saba) - A meeting was held on Sunday in Amran province under the chairmanship of Secretary General of Local Council of the province Saleh al-Makhlous and President of the Agricultural Cooperative Union, Mohammed Bashir.

The meeting discussed topics related to developing the agricultural sector.

The meeting, which was attended by a number of officials and representatives of agricultural associations, reviewed the plans and programs adopted by the government and its partners in the field of improving the agricultural sector, including increasing production, especially grain and vegetable products.

The meeting stressed the importance of focusing on the food security sources of the Yemeni society through setting up future mechanisms and plans to ensure the intensification of general and joint efforts to expand the agricultural area, reclaim terraces and various areas and lands suitable for agriculture.

The participants pointed to the need to pay attention to the area of ​​Kaa Al-Boun are, the production of various grains, vegetables and to the animal products such as milk, as with the Al-Boun Farm.
