SANAA, Aug. 31 (Saba) - The national judo team player Ahmed Al-Zarhi won a victory against his Cambodian counterpart on the last day of Yemeni participation in the Asian Games in Indonesia.
Al-Azri qualified for the 16th round in the 73kg event, after a strong performance, to settle the match with the ippon in two minutes and 40 seconds.
In this role, Al-Zariyeh lost to his Uzbekistani counterpart 37 seconds before the end of the game, thus achieving the third victory in the Yemeni in the competitions of the Games.
In the weight of 81 kg, national team player Hussein Al Jarrah lost to his Afghan rival.
In the table tennis singles competition, the national team player Omar Kadas lost 4-0 to his Thailand's counterpart.
Ibrahim Gebran also lost 4-1 to his Vietnamese counterpart .
In the athletics competition, the Yemeni female Intesar Modhafary athlete won the victory of the last match in the 1500 and 5000 meters' race.
National team players Nabil al-Jerbi and teammate Abdul Aziz Al-Abdi also took part in the race, with al-Jerbi in ninth place and Abdi in 11th place.
