LAHJ, Sept 2 (Saba- Minister of Fishery Wealth Ali Majwar paid inspection visit to several areas in the governorate of Lahj .
During his visit, Majwar and Lahj governor inspected activities of the fishery associations in the governorate and the ministry's bureaus. Majwar listened to problems and difficulties facing fishermen.
Then, Majwar headed a meeting for members of the fishery associations in the governorate.
In the meeting, he pointed out that the ministry had taken measures to develop fish sectors according to programs and plans adopted by the cabinet.
He said that it is important to activate role of the associations to increase fish production and protect Yemeni fish wealth.
He added that the ministry put in its plan of 2004 to finalize infrastructure of the ministry's' bureaus all over the country.
"The ministry has a plan to set up fishery complexes in Lahj and other governorates of the country, he said.
He added that the ministry would present boats for fishermen throughout fishery associations.
