SANA'A, March 13 (Saba) - Prime Minister Abdul Aziz bin Habtoor met with excusive director of the UN World Food Programme (WFP), Ertharin Cousin, who is visiting Yemen.
At the meeting held on Sunday, the officials discussed the cooperation and partnership relations between Yemen and WFP to reduce the aggravation of the acute food crisis the Yemeni people is suffering from because of all-out blockade imposed by the Saudi aggression.
The meeting touched upon the role of the UN and international humanitarian organizations to let the whole world know about Yemen's humanitarian suffering, and exert pressures on the Saudi-led coalition to stop aggression and lift siege.
For his part, the UN official said Yemen is about to face famine based on the last survey conducted by the WFP and millions of Yemenis are in urgent need of essential food.
