Human Rights Ministry says will not deal with latest UNHRC resolution on Yemen
Human Rights Ministry says will not deal with latest UNHRC resolution on Yemen
Human Rights Ministry says will not deal with latest UNHRC resolution on Yemen
[06/October/2016]

SANAA, Oct. 6 (Saba) – The Ministry of Human Rights said in a statement on Thursday that it will not deal with a United Nations Human Rights Council resolution on Yemen, issued on its 33rd session in Geneva last September.
"The ministry rejects the notorious resolution altogether, and will not deal with it or with anybody working in the line of such decision," the ministry said in the statement obtained by Saba.
However, the ministry reaffirmed that it will keep cooperation and provide all facilities to the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Sanaa in line with a memorandum of understanding signed in September 2012 in New York by the foreign minister and the high commissioner for human rights.
The ministry's statement held the United Nations and its humanitarian agencies all responsible for protecting human rights in Yemen against humanitarian violations by the Saudi-led aggression coalition, calling for setting up an independent international investigation committee to probe deep into humanitarian crimes carried out by the aggression coalition against the Yemeni people.
It said such stance by the United Nations could contributes to enable the perpetrators of impunity and encourage to commit more crimes and violations in the absence of international justice.
The ministry reminded about the well-known success of the Saudi regime in using its money to buy others to hinder the formation of an independent international investigation team to investigate the crimes and abuses committed by the aggression countries against Yemen.
