SANAA, Oct. 5 (Saba) - President of the Supreme Political Council Saleh al-Sammad met with United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Stephen O'Brien and his team here in the capital Sanaa.
The meeting held on Tuesday, in which they discussed the UN efforts in the humanitarian and aid fields, as well as the UN responding plan to face the humanitarian issue in Yemen, which worsened by the continuing aggression and its U.S.-Saudi air, sea and land blockade since 19 months ago.
The meeting also reviewed the results of the UN officials visit to Hodeidah province, in which O'Brien expressed his sorrow and strongly condemned the Saudi-led air strikes against civilian targets in the port city that damaged infrastructure and cranes, which affected shipments of food, fuel and medicine to Yemen.
President al-Sammad thanked O'Brien and his team for their fact-finding adventuring visit to Yemen.
