Brussels – Saba:
Hind Rajab’s organization filed a criminal complaint in Prague on Friday against Israeli reserve soldier and rapper Noam Tsurieli.
The group accuses him of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and acts of genocide during Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.
The complaint, submitted by Czech lawyer Jan Taubel on behalf of the human rights organization, is based on an investigative report documenting Tsurieli’s direct involvement in the destruction of civilian property and his public glorification of these acts through music.
Investigations indicate Tsurieli joined the 699 Paratroopers Battalion of the 551 “Swords of Fire” Brigade on October 27–28, 2023, entering Gaza as part of the ground invasion. Social media posts and a December 2024 performance reportedly show him participating in and celebrating attacks on Palestinian homes.
Under Czech law, authorities have full jurisdiction to prosecute Tsurieli regardless of where the alleged crimes were committed.
