Damascus – Saba:
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that three explosions occurred today, Friday, in the Mezzeh 86 area overlooking the People’s Palace Road in Damascus, which is predominantly inhabited by poorer members of the Alawite community.

The blasts prompted a notable security alert in the area.

The Observatory stated on its website that the explosions targeted a building in the area. Ambulances rushed to the scene, while security forces imposed a cordon. Preliminary information indicates that there may have been casualties.

The incident comes amid a recent increase in security-related incidents in areas under the control of current authorities.
