Baghdad – Saba:
Secretary-General of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani and Iraqi National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji signed on Monday a security memorandum of understanding in Baghdad.
This came, according to the Iranian news agency IRNA, on the sidelines of Larijani's visit to Iraq, where he met with al-Araji and emphasized the courage and generosity of the Iraqi people.
Al-Araji emphasized that Baghdad will prevent any security breach aimed at attacking neighboring countries.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to implement the security agreement signed between the two countries.
He emphasized the Iraqi government's firm and principled position on preventing the use of Iraqi territory and airspace to destabilize the region or attack any neighboring country.
